Environmental Radiation Situation

Regular on-site radiological measurements in NRIRR

The NRIRR performs regular radiological on-site measurements to characterize the environmental radiation situation more than 20 years. Recently, the measurements are performed by the Division of Environmental and Public Radiohygiene of NRIRR. The summary of results has been published weekly, via web, since 2002.

WARNING! Data measured after 2002 are expressed as ambient dose equivalent rate (red columns) instead of absorbed dose rate (blue columns). For this reason values are greater by about 17% than before.
